利用简正波模态分离提取船舶辐射噪声调制线谱

Extracting modulation line spectrum from ship radiated noise using normal mode separation

  • 摘要: 船舶水下辐射噪声经浅海多途传播后产生畸变, 导致接收信号调制线谱相对强度减弱、随距离起伏, 影响其准确提取。为减小多途畸变对线谱提取的不利影响, 提出一种结合简正波模态分离和调制谱非相干叠加提取调制线谱的方法。该方法利用垂直阵接收不同深度、不同频率的信号构成复声压矩阵, 通过简正波过滤分离各阶简正波, 然后对各阶简正波的调制谱进行非相干叠加以增强调制线谱相对幅度。数值仿真结果显示, 相比传统解调方法, 文中方法所提取调制线谱窄带“幅度比”平均提升约2~8 dB, 且随距离变化的方差减小。利用实测船舶辐射噪声数据对该方法进行验证, 结果证实, 该方法显著提高了船舶辐射噪声调制线谱相对强度。

     

    Abstract: The underwater radiated noise from ships undergoes distortion due to multipath propagation in shallow water environments, leading to attenuation of the relative intensity and distance-dependent fluctuations in the modulation line spectrum of received signals, thereby impeding the accurate extraction of modulation line spectrum. To mitigate the adverse effects of multipath distortion on modulation spectrum extraction, this paper proposes a novel method integrating normal mode separation with incoherent superposition of modulation spectrum for enhanced extraction of modulation line spectrum. The proposed method constructs a complex pressure matrix by acquiring signals from vertical array receivers at varying depths and frequencies. Through normal mode filtering, individual modes are separated from the received signal. Subsequent incoherent superposition of the modulation spectrum from each separated mode enhances the relative amplitude of the modulation line spectrum. Numerical simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves an average improvement of 2 dB to 8 dB in the narrowband amplitude ratio of extracted line spectrum compared with conventional demodulation techniques, accompanied by a significant reduction in distance-dependent variance. Experimental validation conducted with measured ship radiated noise data demonstrates that the proposed method achieves a significant enhancement in the relative intensity of modulation line spectrum.
