Abstract: The reflection factor of gradual-transition absorbers was discussed, the expression under W.K.B. approximation was derived and the formula of the reflection factor of a conical sound absorber was given. The results agreed roughly with experimental results. The approximate expression of the reflection factor was simple and convenient for absorber designs.
