Abstract: There is a certain connection between vibration and radiation noise of a body. Inthis paper,the Helmholtz integral equation,which is the theoretical formula of acoustic radiation of the body,is discretized with boundary element method and the exterior acoustic radiation field is calculated for a given specified surface elastic vibration velocity of an arbitrarilyshaped body. so as to effectively predict the characteristics of the acoustic field of the body
