Abstract: In this paper, we have derived the transfer matrix for a general anisotopic layer and proposed a generalized model for sound renection and transmission on layered anisotropic media. As an example, we have made numerical computations of sound reflection and transmission coefficients on two orthotropic layers in isotropic aluminum with rigid or slip interfaces
