Abstract: A new signal analyzing method,named pseudo bearing sequence analysis,is proposed in this paper.Thetheoretical foundation and basic ideas of the method,as well as its practicable applications on the area of underwateracoustic signal processing,are introduced.A new type of signal detector named VPBD is presented,which is superiorto VIFD in the reverberation background.The validity of the proposed method has been confirmed by means of bothsimulations in computer and the practical processed trial data.
