CALCULATION OF （∂V^E/∂p）_s AND ULTRASONIC VELOCITIES IN SEVEN TERNARY LIQUID MIXTURES

The formula for sound velocity in a mixture of weak interactive is used to calculate the sound velocities in seven ternary systems. The result shows that the agreement between calculated and experimental values of sound velocity is quite good. The result illustrated in this article shows that the large negative value of evcess isentropic compressibility does not always indicate the large positive value of (∂V^E/∂p)_s.
