THE SYSTEM SIMULATION TECHNIQUE IN SONAR DESIGN (Ⅰ)

  • The system simulation technique has become one of powerful approach in sonar design due to the development of the digital signal processing theory. The necessa-city of using system simulation technique in sonar design and the main functions of this technique are described in this paper. The principle and method of simulation of sonar environment field in digital computer is firstly shown here. A fast algorithm for generating band-limited gaussian random series and a method for generating high precies array signal by using the method of changing sample rate are proposed.
    The formula of computer simulation for modern digital multibeam, multi-layered beamforming system is presented. The simulation method and some results carried out in digital computer are given.
