  • The experimental pressure contact system with single transducer has been developed to detect internal pipe in hot steel bloom.The system can be used for detecting pipe or flaw and measuring sound wave velocity at temperature up to 1120℃ and 1300℃,respectively.
    The hardware and software used for inspection and signal processing are described.The relation between echo-amplitude and pressure exerted is analyzed and discussed,curves and formula showing the relation obtained as well as pipe-testing results are given.
