An impulse technique of measuring insertion loss of open screens

An impulse response technique used to obtain the sound transmission loss ofopen screens has been investigated. The measurements of such screens according to ISO 140were also presented. The results predicted by a model based on Huygen's principle and Kirchhoff's formulation have shown good agreements with the results obtained by impulsemethod. The suggested method requires no special acoustic facilities and the measurementsystem can be portable
