Acoustics of Chinese woodwind reed instrument Sheng

This paper presents acoustic model of Chinese woodwind reed instrument Sheaf and applies circuit ideas to its component parts.The condition for sounding is obtained from small-vibration analysis.Calculation of transfer functions gives rise to the transmission characteristics of Sheng pipe.Based on the analysis acoustic spectra are given and discussed.
