Abstract
A time-domain boundary element method has been used to compute ultrasonic pulse scattering field in a solid. The scatterer can be void or solid with different parameter and the boundary ofthe scatterer can be complicate. The computer time can be greatly reduced when scattered sound fields are computed for various incident waves. The results are compared with the pictures of photoelastics.
