Abstract
Aimed at its different performances at resonance state and antiresbnance state of free stator of raveling wave ultrasonic motors (TWUSM), corresponding theories of TWUSM based on high-power-drive are analyzed systematically. Based on describing and deducing its experimental phenomena, some important parameters, such as frequency, mechanical quality, electromechanic coupling, relative vibration effect are confirmed to be vibrational performance targets of free stator. The designed experiments of laser vibration measurement are carried out to study their different characterizations of free stator at resonance state and antiresonance state under different drive modes. The experimental results demonstrate that the performance of antiresonance state is much better than that of resonance state. This paper can provide the direction to choose operation state and its drive mode of TWUSM.
