Target motion analysis method based on particle filter using bearing and radial velocity

  • Bearings-only target motion analysis requires the effective maneuver of the observation platform to estimate the target's motion state.According to this issue,combining radial velocity and bearing as observation information is proposed.However,algorithm based on Kalman filter requires a rough initial state of target's motion state with long convergence time and large error.Thus,a target motion analysis method based on particle filter using bearing and radial velocity is proposed to estimate location and velocity of target.Sea trial data shows that compared with the original one,the proposed method shortens convergence time from 35.1 min to 30 min and improves precision from 6.1%to 3.8%without rough initial state of target's motion.
