THE MEASURED EXCESS ATTENUATION OF AUDIBLE SOUND IN LOWER ATMOSPHERE
The excess attenuation of audible sound, defined as the difference between the total attenuation and the attenuation of sound intensity due to spherical spreading, has been measured in open air under normal circumstances for hearing.
