Abstract
Elements with mechanica inputinipedance Z1 are closely placed on an infinite long cylindrical array. These elements can be cosidered as impedance baffle of the cylindrical array. Under Conditions of the boundary, we solve the wave equation and then get the scattering field of incident plane wave.
This paper gives a theoretical formula to calculate horizontal directivity of an element on the array. Effects of mechanical impedance Z1 on horizontal directivity of an element is also related.
