Abstract
The average sidelobe height and maximum sideJobe height of the optimum unequally spaced arrays are studied based on conservation law of energy. The values computed according to formula given by this paper are compared with those of the designed arrays. The results show the formula given by present paper is quite better than that given by random array theory. The application of conservation law of energy to the directivity synthesis is also studied in this paper.
