Abstract
A study on the vibration and radiated sound from a submerged arbitrary shell of revolution is carried on in the time-domin, where the Doubly Asymptotic Approximations(DAA2) is applied to describe the fluid-shell coupling the hybridized modal decomposition and direct integral method to obtain the vibration response and the boundary element method of Kirchhoff's retarded formula to obtain the radiated sound. Taking a submerged spheriodal shell excited by the CW or δ pulse force, which is located at the one end of the shell, as an example, the numerical and experimental results are discussed.
