Abstract

In this paper, the basic principle and problems meriting attention in the design and application of active ear defender are discussed quantitatively. A feasible structure and experimental results are given. It is illustrated that the chief significance of active control is to change the mechanical impedance of the ear defender accordingly, and because of this mechanism, the effectiveness of noise attenuation in the low frequency range is improved.
