Abstract

The shock associated noise is an important component of choked valve jet.It is believed that the shock associated noise is emitted by the interaction between the large scale turbulent flow structures and the shock cell system in he jet.The studies show that there is a certain valve open area which emits the strongest shock associated noise after the determined pipe system and upstream stagnation pressure.
