  • The discrete scatterer model of tissue is improved to take into account the random distribution of the size and the acoustic impedance of the scatterers. The backscattering coefficient and its dependence on the frequency are cajculated and analyzed. An experiment with a liver mimic phantom is Conducted to verify the theoretical model.
