Study of characteristics of copolymer ultrasound transducer

  • In this paper, on the basis of KLM equivalent circuit mode, considering the influence of mechanical and dielectric loss, the effects of piezoelectric film and backing material on the input power loss and output waveform of the transducer were analyzed. Then a kind of ultrasound transducer made of PVDF film with different kinds backing material was designed and fabricated. The experimental results were compared with analytical results.
