  • From analyzing the error of sound transmission time induced by inclined array, the sensitivity about mis- match for sound speed profile (SSP) inversion based on sound transmission time is studied. It is indicated that the error of SSP inversion induced by inclined array is proportional to the pitch angle of array and inversely proportional to sound transmission time. The additional error is maximum when the azimuth angle of inclined array is accordant with the line between the source and array. However, while the azimuth angle is vertical with the line the error is minimum. The theoretical result is accordant with simulation and experiment in trends and order of magnitude. So it can provide some references for the prediction of SSP inversion error.
